Po prvi puta u 75 godina postojanja prestižna jedriličarska regata od Sydneyja do Hobarta je otkazana zbog pandemije koronavirusa svega šest dana prije početka, priopćili su australski organizatori. 

Organizatori su prije dva tjedna objavili kako će na regati sudjelovati ograničen broj jedrilica, a u subotu su poništili regatu zbog toga što nisu u potpunosti mogli ispoštovati zdravstvene protokole.

Presudilo je mini-žarište od 40-tak oboljelih u četvrti oko sydneyske luke, pa su lokalne vlasti postrožile uvjete, a na otoku Tasmaniji su proglasili 14-dnevnu karantenu za svakoga tko dolazi s kopna i učinile nastup na regati nemogućim. 

Tako će se ova božićna regata s iznimno teških i opasnih 628 nautičkih milja dugom rutom po prvi puta otkazati.

Lani je 28. prosinca ciljnu crtu u Tasmaniji prva presjekla jedrilica Wild Oats XI, koja je tako odosegla rekordnu devetu pobjedu.

Po prvi puta u 75 godina postojanja prestižna jedriličarska regata od Sydneyja do Hobarta je otkazana zbog pandemije koronavirusa svega šest dana prije početka, priopćili su australski organizatori. 

Organizatori su prije dva tjedna objavili kako će na regati sudjelovati ograničen broj jedrilica, a u subotu su poništili regatu zbog toga što nisu u potpunosti mogli ispoštovati zdravstvene protokole.

Presudilo je mini-žarište od 40-tak oboljelih u četvrti oko sydneyske luke, pa su lokalne vlasti postrožile uvjete, a na otoku Tasmaniji su proglasili 14-dnevnu karantenu za svakoga tko dolazi s kopna i učinile nastup na regati nemogućim. 

Tako će se ova božićna regata s iznimno teških i opasnih 628 nautičkih milja dugom rutom po prvi puta otkazati.

Lani je 28. prosinca ciljnu crtu u Tasmaniji prva presjekla jedrilica Wild Oats XI, koja je tako odosegla rekordnu devetu pobjedu.

Po prvi puta u 75 godina postojanja prestižna jedriličarska regata od Sydneyja do Hobarta je otkazana zbog pandemije koronavirusa svega šest dana prije početka, priopćili su australski organizatori. 

Organizatori su prije dva tjedna objavili kako će na regati sudjelovati ograničen broj jedrilica, a u subotu su poništili regatu zbog toga što nisu u potpunosti mogli ispoštovati zdravstvene protokole.

Presudilo je mini-žarište od 40-tak oboljelih u četvrti oko sydneyske luke, pa su lokalne vlasti postrožile uvjete, a na otoku Tasmaniji su proglasili 14-dnevnu karantenu za svakoga tko dolazi s kopna i učinile nastup na regati nemogućim. 

Tako će se ova božićna regata s iznimno teških i opasnih 628 nautičkih milja dugom rutom po prvi puta otkazati.

Lani je 28. prosinca ciljnu crtu u Tasmaniji prva presjekla jedrilica Wild Oats XI, koja je tako odosegla rekordnu devetu pobjedu.
