Nosač zrakoplova britanske kraljevske ratne mornarice HMS Prince of Wales polako se vratio u bazu nakon što se pokvario u blizini otoka Wight na jugu Engleske, piše u subotu njemačka agencija dpa.
Ratni brod napustio je pomorsku bazu Portsmouth na južnoj obali Engleske prošle subote i uputio se prema SAD-u radi diplomatskih posjeta i vojnih vježbi, uključujući probne letove borbenog zrakoplova F-35B Lightning.
Mornarica je u petak najavila da će drugi nosač zrakoplova, admiralski brod HMS Queen Elizabeth, idućeg tjedna zaploviti prema SAD-u i preuzeti dogovorene dužnosti.
Nedugo nakon što je Prince of Wales zaplovio prošle subote, otkriven je mehanički kvar.
Polazak plovila od 65.000 tona je već bio odgođen dan ranije zbog tehničkog problema, no ipak je donesena odluka o isplovljenju.
Nosač zrakoplova polako se u ponedjeljak vratio u uvalu Stokes, južno od grada Gosport, ploveći brzinom od četiri čvora, odnosno nešto manje od 7.5 kilometra na sat, pri čemu su ga pratili tegljači.
Ronioci britanske mornarice su pregledali brod i otkrili kvar na osovini propelera.
Osovina se sastoji od čeličnih šipki, međusobno povezanih kvačilima, od kojih se jedno pokvarilo.
Pretpostavlja se da je do toga došlo zbog mehaničkog kvara, a ne zbog nedovoljnog podmazivanja kvačila.
HMS Prince of Wales je napustio uvalu Stokes u subotu poslijepodne u pratnji triju tegljača i vratio se u pomorsku bazu Portsmouth koristeći samo jedan propeler.
Brod će sada iskrcati svoju opremu i posadu te ostati u luci radi dodatnog pregleda, a zatim će biti poslan na popravak u remontno brodogradilište, vjerojatno u Rosythu u Škotskoj gdje je i izgrađen.

Nosač zrakoplova britanske kraljevske ratne mornarice HMS Prince of Wales polako se vratio u bazu nakon što se pokvario u blizini otoka Wight na jugu Engleske, piše u subotu njemačka agencija dpa.
Ratni brod napustio je pomorsku bazu Portsmouth na južnoj obali Engleske prošle subote i uputio se prema SAD-u radi diplomatskih posjeta i vojnih vježbi, uključujući probne letove borbenog zrakoplova F-35B Lightning.
Mornarica je u petak najavila da će drugi nosač zrakoplova, admiralski brod HMS Queen Elizabeth, idućeg tjedna zaploviti prema SAD-u i preuzeti dogovorene dužnosti.
Nedugo nakon što je Prince of Wales zaplovio prošle subote, otkriven je mehanički kvar.
Polazak plovila od 65.000 tona je već bio odgođen dan ranije zbog tehničkog problema, no ipak je donesena odluka o isplovljenju.
Nosač zrakoplova polako se u ponedjeljak vratio u uvalu Stokes, južno od grada Gosport, ploveći brzinom od četiri čvora, odnosno nešto manje od 7.5 kilometra na sat, pri čemu su ga pratili tegljači.
Ronioci britanske mornarice su pregledali brod i otkrili kvar na osovini propelera.
Osovina se sastoji od čeličnih šipki, međusobno povezanih kvačilima, od kojih se jedno pokvarilo.
Pretpostavlja se da je do toga došlo zbog mehaničkog kvara, a ne zbog nedovoljnog podmazivanja kvačila.
HMS Prince of Wales je napustio uvalu Stokes u subotu poslijepodne u pratnji triju tegljača i vratio se u pomorsku bazu Portsmouth koristeći samo jedan propeler.
Brod će sada iskrcati svoju opremu i posadu te ostati u luci radi dodatnog pregleda, a zatim će biti poslan na popravak u remontno brodogradilište, vjerojatno u Rosythu u Škotskoj gdje je i izgrađen.

Nosač zrakoplova britanske kraljevske ratne mornarice HMS Prince of Wales polako se vratio u bazu nakon što se pokvario u blizini otoka Wight na jugu Engleske, piše u subotu njemačka agencija dpa.
Ratni brod napustio je pomorsku bazu Portsmouth na južnoj obali Engleske prošle subote i uputio se prema SAD-u radi diplomatskih posjeta i vojnih vježbi, uključujući probne letove borbenog zrakoplova F-35B Lightning.
Mornarica je u petak najavila da će drugi nosač zrakoplova, admiralski brod HMS Queen Elizabeth, idućeg tjedna zaploviti prema SAD-u i preuzeti dogovorene dužnosti.
Nedugo nakon što je Prince of Wales zaplovio prošle subote, otkriven je mehanički kvar.
Polazak plovila od 65.000 tona je već bio odgođen dan ranije zbog tehničkog problema, no ipak je donesena odluka o isplovljenju.
Nosač zrakoplova polako se u ponedjeljak vratio u uvalu Stokes, južno od grada Gosport, ploveći brzinom od četiri čvora, odnosno nešto manje od 7.5 kilometra na sat, pri čemu su ga pratili tegljači.
Ronioci britanske mornarice su pregledali brod i otkrili kvar na osovini propelera.
Osovina se sastoji od čeličnih šipki, međusobno povezanih kvačilima, od kojih se jedno pokvarilo.
Pretpostavlja se da je do toga došlo zbog mehaničkog kvara, a ne zbog nedovoljnog podmazivanja kvačila.
HMS Prince of Wales je napustio uvalu Stokes u subotu poslijepodne u pratnji triju tegljača i vratio se u pomorsku bazu Portsmouth koristeći samo jedan propeler.
Brod će sada iskrcati svoju opremu i posadu te ostati u luci radi dodatnog pregleda, a zatim će biti poslan na popravak u remontno brodogradilište, vjerojatno u Rosythu u Škotskoj gdje je i izgrađen.
