Sklat sivac (Squatina squatina) iznimno je rijetka vrsta morskog psa. Nakon slučajnog ribarskog ulova mrežama na 23 metra dubine kod rta Kamenjak u Istri vraćen je u more.

''Sklat sivac je najugroženija vrsta u Jadranu, ako ne i u Mediteranu tako da je ovo jedinstvena prilika za nas da ovako nešto vidimo'', rekao je za Novu TV Antonio Castellicchio, student PMF-a.

Jer, procjenjuje se, tek ih je možda desetak u Jadranu. Radi se o mladom primjerku koji ni kada naraste ne predstavlja opasnost za ljude.

Ulovljen je na rtu Kamenjak i nakon kratkog boravka u pulskom akvariju preselio se na Brijune koje je morsko zaštićeno područje u kojoj je ribolov zabranjen. Kao takvo predstavlja najsigurnije mjesto za ovakvu vrstu riba.

Znanstvenici upozoravaju da što prije treba započeti program obnove populacije.

''Ne postoji za sada poznati mehanizam sprječavanja da se takve životinje love. Dobra stvar je da se sve te životinje mogu bez problema, jednostavno spasiti i vratiti u more'', rekao je Neven Iveša, Fakultet prirodnih znanosti u Puli.

Sklat sivac (Squatina squatina) iznimno je rijetka vrsta morskog psa. Nakon slučajnog ribarskog ulova mrežama na 23 metra dubine kod rta Kamenjak u Istri vraćen je u more.

''Sklat sivac je najugroženija vrsta u Jadranu, ako ne i u Mediteranu tako da je ovo jedinstvena prilika za nas da ovako nešto vidimo'', rekao je za Novu TV Antonio Castellicchio, student PMF-a.

Jer, procjenjuje se, tek ih je možda desetak u Jadranu. Radi se o mladom primjerku koji ni kada naraste ne predstavlja opasnost za ljude.

Ulovljen je na rtu Kamenjak i nakon kratkog boravka u pulskom akvariju preselio se na Brijune koje je morsko zaštićeno područje u kojoj je ribolov zabranjen. Kao takvo predstavlja najsigurnije mjesto za ovakvu vrstu riba.

Znanstvenici upozoravaju da što prije treba započeti program obnove populacije.

''Ne postoji za sada poznati mehanizam sprječavanja da se takve životinje love. Dobra stvar je da se sve te životinje mogu bez problema, jednostavno spasiti i vratiti u more'', rekao je Neven Iveša, Fakultet prirodnih znanosti u Puli.

Sklat sivac (Squatina squatina) iznimno je rijetka vrsta morskog psa. Nakon slučajnog ribarskog ulova mrežama na 23 metra dubine kod rta Kamenjak u Istri vraćen je u more.

''Sklat sivac je najugroženija vrsta u Jadranu, ako ne i u Mediteranu tako da je ovo jedinstvena prilika za nas da ovako nešto vidimo'', rekao je za Novu TV Antonio Castellicchio, student PMF-a.

Jer, procjenjuje se, tek ih je možda desetak u Jadranu. Radi se o mladom primjerku koji ni kada naraste ne predstavlja opasnost za ljude.

Ulovljen je na rtu Kamenjak i nakon kratkog boravka u pulskom akvariju preselio se na Brijune koje je morsko zaštićeno područje u kojoj je ribolov zabranjen. Kao takvo predstavlja najsigurnije mjesto za ovakvu vrstu riba.

Znanstvenici upozoravaju da što prije treba započeti program obnove populacije.

''Ne postoji za sada poznati mehanizam sprječavanja da se takve životinje love. Dobra stvar je da se sve te životinje mogu bez problema, jednostavno spasiti i vratiti u more'', rekao je Neven Iveša, Fakultet prirodnih znanosti u Puli.

Zato neka nam ova suradnja na relaciji ribar - morski pas - znanstvenici bude primjer, piše Dnevnik.hr.
