Alzheimerova bolest postaje sve zastupljenija na filmu unatrag nekoliko godina. Snimljeni u kratkom vremenskom roku, "Otac", "Relikt" i "Vortex" naslijedili su novomilenijske filmove poput "Bilježnice", "Daleko od nje", "Obitelji Savage", "Poezije", "Ljubavi", "I dalje Alice"...

Kao tema, Alzheimer često odvodi do Oscara. Primjerice, "Away From Her", "Amour", "Still Alice" i "The Father" dobili su oskarovsku nominaciju i/ili osvojili neki od važnih zlatnih kipića, npr. za najbolji međunarodni film, glavnu žensku i mušku ulogu. Najnoviji Alzheimer film jest čileanski dokumentarac "Beskrajno sjećanje" ("La memoria infinita"/"The Eternal Memory") i također je nominiran za Oscara.

Iako će zlatni kipić u dokumentarnoj kategoriji vjerojatno osvojiti "20 dana u Mariupolju", nominacija je kulminacija priznanja za "Beskrajno sjećanje". Novi dokumentarac redateljice Maite Alberdi ("Agent Krtica", ambijentiran u starački dom) osvojio je veliku nagradu žirija na Sundance festivalu, odnosno publike na Berlinaleu, pa Goyu za najbolji iberoamerički film itd.

No, opet, nominacija djeluje i gorko-slatko s obzirom da je Alzheimerom načeti protagonist, novinar Augusto Góngora, nekoć vodio čileanski prijenos dodjele Oscara. Tada Augusto sigurno nije mogao zamisliti da će jednog dana oboljeti od Alzheimera, odnosno da će se o njegovoj borbi s demencijom snimiti dokumentarac i biti nominiran za zlatni kipić.

"La memoria infinita" je gorkoslatko iskustvo, bolna priča o beskrajnom sjećanju i još beskrajnijoj ljubavi koju Augustu pruža njegova supruga Paulina Urrutia, glumica i nekadašnja čileanska ministrica kulture. U prvoj sceni Paulina predstavlja sebe dementnom Augustu ("znamo se već više od 20 godina"), kao da se nanovo s njime upoznaje, a usput mu i govori tko je on.

Redateljica Alberdi tako uvodi gledatelja u priču i predstavlja mu likove. Paulina pomaže Augustu da se sjeti i njezina nesebična ljubav je temelj vrlo intimnog dokumentarca. Međutim, Alberdi miješa osobno i nacionalno sjećanje, tj. čileanski identitet. Drugim riječima, motiv (Augustova) sjećanja stavljen u politički kontekst Čilea.

Protagonist dokumentarca bio je novinar u vrijeme diktatorske vladavine imenjaka Augusta Pinocheta. "Beskrajno sjećanje" podsjeća na "traumatične godine" Pinochetove diktature i zločine koji se ne smiju prepustiti zaboravu povijesti, za što se zalagao upravo Augusto da bi time veća bila tragika glavnog lika koji se povremeno prisjeti stradalih prijatelja za vrijeme diktatorskog režima.

Podtekst je intrigantno provučen, posebice kad glavni lik uzima svoje knjige u ruke i govori da ih se boji izgubiti kad izgubi sjećanje, kao da će se na taj način izgubiti i ono što je u njima zapisano (povijest). Politika u nekoliko navrata prijeti zasjeniti ljudsku dramu, ali to se srećom ipak ne događa.

Dokumentrac "La memoria infinita" u prvom je redu posvećen centralnom paru i mentalnom propadanju jednog čovjeka koje ljubav izdržljive supruge može malo ublažiti, olakšati, ali, nažalost, ne i zaustaviti. "Ne mogu to podnijeti", govori Augusto i postavlja pitanja: "Što se to događa sa mnom? Gdje su moji prijatelji?" Ovakve scene znaju biti prilično bolne za gledanje. Pred nama, ne zaboravimo, stoji stvarni čovjek s Alzheimerom, a ne filmski lik.

Alzheimerova bolest postaje sve zastupljenija na filmu unatrag nekoliko godina. Snimljeni u kratkom vremenskom roku, "Otac", "Relikt" i "Vortex" naslijedili su novomilenijske filmove poput "Bilježnice", "Daleko od nje", "Obitelji Savage", "Poezije", "Ljubavi", "I dalje Alice"...

Kao tema, Alzheimer često odvodi do Oscara. Primjerice, "Away From Her", "Amour", "Still Alice" i "The Father" dobili su oskarovsku nominaciju i/ili osvojili neki od važnih zlatnih kipića, npr. za najbolji međunarodni film, glavnu žensku i mušku ulogu. Najnoviji Alzheimer film jest čileanski dokumentarac "Beskrajno sjećanje" ("La memoria infinita"/"The Eternal Memory") i također je nominiran za Oscara.

Iako će zlatni kipić u dokumentarnoj kategoriji vjerojatno osvojiti "20 dana u Mariupolju", nominacija je kulminacija priznanja za "Beskrajno sjećanje". Novi dokumentarac redateljice Maite Alberdi ("Agent Krtica", ambijentiran u starački dom) osvojio je veliku nagradu žirija na Sundance festivalu, odnosno publike na Berlinaleu, pa Goyu za najbolji iberoamerički film itd.

No, opet, nominacija djeluje i gorko-slatko s obzirom da je Alzheimerom načeti protagonist, novinar Augusto Góngora, nekoć vodio čileanski prijenos dodjele Oscara. Tada Augusto sigurno nije mogao zamisliti da će jednog dana oboljeti od Alzheimera, odnosno da će se o njegovoj borbi s demencijom snimiti dokumentarac i biti nominiran za zlatni kipić.

"La memoria infinita" je gorkoslatko iskustvo, bolna priča o beskrajnom sjećanju i još beskrajnijoj ljubavi koju Augustu pruža njegova supruga Paulina Urrutia, glumica i nekadašnja čileanska ministrica kulture. U prvoj sceni Paulina predstavlja sebe dementnom Augustu ("znamo se već više od 20 godina"), kao da se nanovo s njime upoznaje, a usput mu i govori tko je on.

Redateljica Alberdi tako uvodi gledatelja u priču i predstavlja mu likove. Paulina pomaže Augustu da se sjeti i njezina nesebična ljubav je temelj vrlo intimnog dokumentarca. Međutim, Alberdi miješa osobno i nacionalno sjećanje, tj. čileanski identitet. Drugim riječima, motiv (Augustova) sjećanja stavljen u politički kontekst Čilea.

Protagonist dokumentarca bio je novinar u vrijeme diktatorske vladavine imenjaka Augusta Pinocheta. "Beskrajno sjećanje" podsjeća na "traumatične godine" Pinochetove diktature i zločine koji se ne smiju prepustiti zaboravu povijesti, za što se zalagao upravo Augusto da bi time veća bila tragika glavnog lika koji se povremeno prisjeti stradalih prijatelja za vrijeme diktatorskog režima.

Podtekst je intrigantno provučen, posebice kad glavni lik uzima svoje knjige u ruke i govori da ih se boji izgubiti kad izgubi sjećanje, kao da će se na taj način izgubiti i ono što je u njima zapisano (povijest). Politika u nekoliko navrata prijeti zasjeniti ljudsku dramu, ali to se srećom ipak ne događa.

Dokumentrac "La memoria infinita" u prvom je redu posvećen centralnom paru i mentalnom propadanju jednog čovjeka koje ljubav izdržljive supruge može malo ublažiti, olakšati, ali, nažalost, ne i zaustaviti. "Ne mogu to podnijeti", govori Augusto i postavlja pitanja: "Što se to događa sa mnom? Gdje su moji prijatelji?" Ovakve scene znaju biti prilično bolne za gledanje. Pred nama, ne zaboravimo, stoji stvarni čovjek s Alzheimerom, a ne filmski lik.
