Nema velike koristi od ubrizgavanja hijaluronske kiseline kod artroze koljena, pokazala je opsežna studija koja je potvrdila sve veće sumnje da takva vrsta terapije ublažava bol. 


Studija "ne govori u prilog općoj primjeni viskosuplementacije za ublažavanje artroze koljena", kažu autori studije objavljene u British Medical Journal (BMJ).


Artroza koljena jedno je od najčešćih oboljenja zglobova. Pacijenti zbog oštećenja zglobne hrskavice trpe bolove koji im otežavaju svakodnevni život, pa tako i hodanje.


Vrlo je proširena i prema podacima iz 2020. godine na koje se pozivaju autori studije, artroza koljena pogađa više od pola milijarde ljudi u svijetu. 


U Francuskoj, zdravstveno osiguranje koje pokriva troškove liječenja, ocjenjuje da artrozu koljena ima gotovo trećina populacije u dobi od 65 do 75  godina.


Desetljećima jedna od vodećih terapija koja se propisuje pri artrozi koljena su injekcije hijaluronske kiseline, želatinaste tvari koja poboljšava podmazivanje zglobova.

No stvarna učinkovitost te terapije, zvane viskosuplementacija budi sve više sumnji, zbog čega je francusko javno zdravstvo unatrag nekoliko godina prestalo pokrivati troškove takve terapije, unatoč protivljenju specijalista, laboratorija koji je proizvode te udruga pacijenata.


Studija objavljena u BMJ-u ide upravo u tom smjeru. Riječ je o meta-analizi koja je usporedila određen broj prethodnih radova -  a obuhvaćaju nekoliko desetljeća - što daje dobar uvid u materiju. 


Autori priznaju da viskosuplementacija "pomaže malo smanjiti bol artroze koljena", no pišu da je učinak premalen da bi se na kliničkom planu takva terapija smatrala relevantnom. 


Tim više što injekcija hijaluronske kiseline nije bezopasna: viskosuplementacija je povezana sa sve učestalijim težim sekundarnim posljedicama, kada se, primjerice, usporedi s placebom, pišu autori.


Iako ne mogu isključiti eventualnu korist viskosuplementacije za specifične kategorije pacijenata, autori se protive sustavnoj primjeni takve terapije kod artroze koljena.

Nema velike koristi od ubrizgavanja hijaluronske kiseline kod artroze koljena, pokazala je opsežna studija koja je potvrdila sve veće sumnje da takva vrsta terapije ublažava bol. 


Studija "ne govori u prilog općoj primjeni viskosuplementacije za ublažavanje artroze koljena", kažu autori studije objavljene u British Medical Journal (BMJ).


Artroza koljena jedno je od najčešćih oboljenja zglobova. Pacijenti zbog oštećenja zglobne hrskavice trpe bolove koji im otežavaju svakodnevni život, pa tako i hodanje.


Vrlo je proširena i prema podacima iz 2020. godine na koje se pozivaju autori studije, artroza koljena pogađa više od pola milijarde ljudi u svijetu. 


U Francuskoj, zdravstveno osiguranje koje pokriva troškove liječenja, ocjenjuje da artrozu koljena ima gotovo trećina populacije u dobi od 65 do 75  godina.


Desetljećima jedna od vodećih terapija koja se propisuje pri artrozi koljena su injekcije hijaluronske kiseline, želatinaste tvari koja poboljšava podmazivanje zglobova.

No stvarna učinkovitost te terapije, zvane viskosuplementacija budi sve više sumnji, zbog čega je francusko javno zdravstvo unatrag nekoliko godina prestalo pokrivati troškove takve terapije, unatoč protivljenju specijalista, laboratorija koji je proizvode te udruga pacijenata.


Studija objavljena u BMJ-u ide upravo u tom smjeru. Riječ je o meta-analizi koja je usporedila određen broj prethodnih radova -  a obuhvaćaju nekoliko desetljeća - što daje dobar uvid u materiju. 


Autori priznaju da viskosuplementacija "pomaže malo smanjiti bol artroze koljena", no pišu da je učinak premalen da bi se na kliničkom planu takva terapija smatrala relevantnom. 


Tim više što injekcija hijaluronske kiseline nije bezopasna: viskosuplementacija je povezana sa sve učestalijim težim sekundarnim posljedicama, kada se, primjerice, usporedi s placebom, pišu autori.


Iako ne mogu isključiti eventualnu korist viskosuplementacije za specifične kategorije pacijenata, autori se protive sustavnoj primjeni takve terapije kod artroze koljena.

Nova studija ne govori u prilog jednoj od vodećih terapija koja se propisuje pri artrozi koljena

Nema velike koristi od ubrizgavanja hijaluronske kiseline kod artroze koljena, pokazala je opsežna studija koja je potvrdila sve veće sumnje da takva vrsta terapije ublažava bol. 


Studija "ne govori u prilog općoj primjeni viskosuplementacije za ublažavanje artroze koljena", kažu autori studije objavljene u British Medical Journal (BMJ).


Artroza koljena jedno je od najčešćih oboljenja zglobova. Pacijenti zbog oštećenja zglobne hrskavice trpe bolove koji im otežavaju svakodnevni život, pa tako i hodanje.


Vrlo je proširena i prema podacima iz 2020. godine na koje se pozivaju autori studije, artroza koljena pogađa više od pola milijarde ljudi u svijetu.
