Da se olako gutaju brojne tablete pisali smo ne jednom, ali Facebook objava dr. Jadranke Šoić Karuze, obiteljske liječnice iz Rijeke zorno pokazuje koliko neki pacijenti mogu biti tvrdoglavi po tom pitanju i koliko smo zapravo svi skupa elementarno medicinski nepismeni. Nije čudno što je podijeljen preko 300 puta u jednom danu, a to je učinila i poznata splitska liječnica dr. Anamarija Pavičin Bekavac uz napomenu da pokazuje svakodnevicu svih liječnika obiteljske medicine.

"Poruka na govornom automatu: Temperatura od jučer 38, molim da mi pošaljete antibiotik.

Zašto je ovo višestruko pogrešno (možda se nekom čini glupo da postoji potreba da to napišem, ali ovakvi pozivi i mailovi su česti, dakle potreba očito postoji.)

1. "Temperatura od jučer" može biti apsolutno sve - od igle do aviona.

Pustite bolesti da se bar donekle razvije i pokaže svoju kliničku sliku kako bismo imali neku predodžbu o čemu bi se moglo raditi.

2. U ovo doba godine većina infekcija je respiratorna, a blizu 80% respiratornih infekcija je virusnog porijekla. Dakle, antibiotici ne samo da ne djeluju, nego su i potencijalno štetni.

Razvija se i otpornost bakterija na antibiotike, pa sutra našu djecu nećemo imati čime liječiti (zapravo, to se već danas događa).

Pokušajmo misliti malo i na druge i vidjeti ponekad i širu sliku, a ne samo na sebe.

3. Virusne respiratorne infekcije su samoograničavajuće (laički, proći će same od sebe). Imaju i nekakvo prosječno normalno vrijeme trajanja: npr. grlobolja traje tjedan dana, prehlada 10 dana, upala sinusa i do dva i pol tjedna, bronhitis - tri tjedna. Kod pušača, sve će trajati dulje. Kao i kod onih koji ne odleže i ne dozvole svome tijelu da se oporavi. Prosječno se godišnje od ovih bolest razbolimo 3 do 5 puta (djeca čak 4 do 7 puta), pa to što vam je već treća ove zime (kada su i najčešće) uglavnom nije znak nekog patološkog pada imuniteta, nego statistike i činjenice da je respiratornih virusa zaista mnogo.

4. Antibiotik preko telefona? Maila? Porukom na govornom automatu? Seriously? Ne znam kako je drugdje, no da skratimo priču - no can do (ili reka san: nemože) i mislim da objašnjenje zaista nije potrebno.

5. Temperatura se ne treba rušiti ako ne prelazi 38,5. Ona služi našem imunološkom sustavu da se uspješnije brani od infekcije. Nakrcavanje hrpom tableta (često nesteroidni antireumatici) zbog temperature 37,4 dodatno nepotrebno opterećuje jetru i bubrege, a ne služi ničemu.

6. Epilog uvodnom dijelu: sutradan nova poruka na govorrnom automatu. Uspjeli smo stupiti u kontakt, na pregled ne želi; sutra mora raditi pa treba antibiotik da odmah prekine bolest i ozdravi. Pokušali smo objasniti, no mislim ne s puno uspjeha. Komunikacija je završila nezadovoljstvom.

Ono što me brine je da će otići raditi bolestan/a umjesto da miruje pa će za tjedan dana uistinu trebati antibiotik. A onda će biti (i to smo već puno puta čuli): vi ste krivi, da ste mi ga odmah dali kao što sam tražio/la do ovoga ne bi došlo.

Naša djeca u školama iz biologije uče takve silne detalje! Enzime gušterače, biokemijske reakcije, HLA sustav i kojekakve stvari na koje ni mi roditelji-liječnici, često ne znam odogovor.

No bilo bi puno bolje da ih nauče prepoznati prehladu, znati kako i kada srušiti temperaturu, kada otići liječniku, kako si sam pomoći ili kako je svaki lijek ujedno- i otrov pa uz dobro zrno soli treba promisliti prije nego ga se uzme na svoju ruku ili naručuje putem sms poruke."

Da se olako gutaju brojne tablete pisali smo ne jednom, ali Facebook objava dr. Jadranke Šoić Karuze, obiteljske liječnice iz Rijeke zorno pokazuje koliko neki pacijenti mogu biti tvrdoglavi po tom pitanju i koliko smo zapravo svi skupa elementarno medicinski nepismeni. Nije čudno što je podijeljen preko 300 puta u jednom danu, a to je učinila i poznata splitska liječnica dr. Anamarija Pavičin Bekavac uz napomenu da pokazuje svakodnevicu svih liječnika obiteljske medicine.

1. "Temperatura od jučer" može biti apsolutno sve - od igle do aviona.

Pustite bolesti da se bar donekle razvije i pokaže svoju kliničku sliku kako bismo imali neku predodžbu o čemu bi se moglo raditi.

2. U ovo doba godine većina infekcija je respiratorna, a blizu 80% respiratornih infekcija je virusnog porijekla. Dakle, antibiotici ne samo da ne djeluju, nego su i potencijalno štetni.

Razvija se i otpornost bakterija na antibiotike, pa sutra našu djecu nećemo imati čime liječiti (zapravo, to se već danas događa).

Pokušajmo misliti malo i na druge i vidjeti ponekad i širu sliku, a ne samo na sebe.

3. Virusne respiratorne infekcije su samoograničavajuće (laički, proći će same od sebe). Imaju i nekakvo prosječno normalno vrijeme trajanja: npr. grlobolja traje tjedan dana, prehlada 10 dana, upala sinusa i do dva i pol tjedna, bronhitis - tri tjedna. Kod pušača, sve će trajati dulje. Kao i kod onih koji ne odleže i ne dozvole svome tijelu da se oporavi. Prosječno se godišnje od ovih bolest razbolimo 3 do 5 puta (djeca čak 4 do 7 puta), pa to što vam je već treća ove zime (kada su i najčešće) uglavnom nije znak nekog patološkog pada imuniteta, nego statistike i činjenice da je respiratornih virusa zaista mnogo.

4. Antibiotik preko telefona? Maila? Porukom na govornom automatu? Seriously? Ne znam kako je drugdje, no da skratimo priču - no can do (ili reka san: nemože) i mislim da objašnjenje zaista nije potrebno.

5. Temperatura se ne treba rušiti ako ne prelazi 38,5. Ona služi našem imunološkom sustavu da se uspješnije brani od infekcije. Nakrcavanje hrpom tableta (često nesteroidni antireumatici) zbog temperature 37,4 dodatno nepotrebno opterećuje jetru i bubrege, a ne služi ničemu.

6. Epilog uvodnom dijelu: sutradan nova poruka na govorrnom automatu. Uspjeli smo stupiti u kontakt, na pregled ne želi; sutra mora raditi pa treba antibiotik da odmah prekine bolest i ozdravi. Pokušali smo objasniti, no mislim ne s puno uspjeha. Komunikacija je završila nezadovoljstvom.

Ono što me brine je da će otići raditi bolestan/a umjesto da miruje pa će za tjedan dana uistinu trebati antibiotik. A onda će biti (i to smo već puno puta čuli): vi ste krivi, da ste mi ga odmah dali kao što sam tražio/la do ovoga ne bi došlo.

Naša djeca u školama iz biologije uče takve silne detalje! Enzime gušterače, biokemijske reakcije, HLA sustav i kojekakve stvari na koje ni mi roditelji-liječnici, često ne znam odogovor.

No bilo bi puno bolje da ih nauče prepoznati prehladu, znati kako i kada srušiti temperaturu, kada otići liječniku, kako si sam pomoći ili kako je svaki lijek ujedno- i otrov pa uz dobro zrno soli treba promisliti prije nego ga se uzme na svoju ruku ili naručuje putem sms poruke."

Da se olako gutaju brojne tablete pisali smo ne jednom, ali Facebook objava dr. Jadranke Šoić Karuze, obiteljske liječnice iz Rijeke zorno pokazuje koliko neki pacijenti mogu biti tvrdoglavi po tom pitanju i koliko smo zapravo svi skupa elementarno medicinski nepismeni. Nije čudno što je podijeljen preko 300 puta u jednom danu, a to je učinila i poznata splitska liječnica dr. Anamarija Pavičin Bekavac uz napomenu da pokazuje svakodnevicu svih liječnika obiteljske medicine.
